What skills and experience we're looking for

We are five successful Lambeth Nursery Schools with Children Centre’s running from various sites, working to provide excellent early years education and support young children and their families.

We wish to appoint a SEND Lead Teacher to our Federation team to start September 2026. This post provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of School and Federation SLT, in the development of the school’s Special Needs provision.

You will have:

  • excellent early years practice and knowledge of children’s development from - birth to 5

  • experience of working closely with families

  • the ability to inspire and lead a team

  • relevant SEND knowledge and expertise, possibly the SENCo qualification

  • a friendly, calm and supportive approach

  • excellent oral and written communication skills

  • enthusiasm for continuing your own professional development

  • experience of writing and overseeing the implementation of SEND support plans for a range of needs

  • you will have experience of evaluating the effectiveness of SEND teaching and learning

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
