Lansdowne Primary Academy is part of the Gateway Learning Community [GLC] which is a partnership between one secondary and four primary schools located within Tilbury and Chadwell in the borough of Thurrock to the east of London.

Lansdowne Primary Academy is host to the Thurrock Resource Base for primary pupils with a moderate learning difficulty &/or social communication difficulties. The pupils are funded by the Local Education Authority with an EHCP. Currently we have 9 pupils attending, with needs including ASD, significant speech and language delay and Down’s Syndrome.
We are looking to appoint a strong, enthusiastic, committed and creative Learning Support Assistant to work within the resource base. Successful candidates will be required to work flexibly taking direction from the Resource base lead and SENCo in adapting and planning activities to take students’ learning forward.
Candidates must be able to use their own initiative and will have the following:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is essential;
- good standard of education; Maths and English GCSE grades A – C, or equivalent;
- can provide excellent classroom support in literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs;
- good organisation and inter-personal skills;
- good knowledge of ICT;
- be committed to high achievement from students and themselves.
