What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Have experience of supporting pupils with identified special educational needs and/or ADHD
  • Have the confidence to manage SEMH issues
  • Help children to learn as effectively as possible
  • Have an understanding of the potential barriers to learning
  • Work confidently and effectively on their own and as part of a team
  • Have experience in delivering/scaffolding a personalised programme of work as directed by the class teacher
  • Facilitate the inclusion of SEND children within the whole class setting
  • Provide a purposeful and well-disciplined learning environment which reflects the school ethos
  • Establish positive, professional and supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and other agencies, where necessary
  • Have a calm and caring character
