What skills and experience we're looking for
- Have experience of supporting pupils with identified special educational needs and/or ADHD
- Have the confidence to manage SEMH issues
- Help children to learn as effectively as possible
- Have an understanding of the potential barriers to learning
- Work confidently and effectively on their own and as part of a team
- Have experience in delivering/scaffolding a personalised programme of work as directed by the class teacher
- Facilitate the inclusion of SEND children within the whole class setting
- Provide a purposeful and well-disciplined learning environment which reflects the school ethos
- Establish positive, professional and supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and other agencies, where necessary
- Have a calm and caring character
