What skills and experience we're looking for
Thorpedene Primary & Nursery School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring, and flexible person to work within our team, with particular responsibility for children with SEND. We are looking for someone to work alongside the teacher to provide support predominantly on a one-toone basis. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children who have SEND. Successful candidates will: • Have the knowledge and skills to support a child's anxiety, behaviour, and academic needs. • Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to children, parents, and other professionals. • Be determined to develop children's learning, encouraging them to achieve their best. • Be organised and efficient to set up systems to support learning and well-being. • Be an effective team-player. Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT) and Thorpedene Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our support team. The successful applicant will be based across all Key Stages, and a strong passion is required. The successful applicant must be highly dependable, empathetic, and have a professional outlook. There is a need to have excellent behaviour management abilities, to remain calm in difficult situations, as well as to be diplomatic, relatable, personable, and compassionate.
