SEND Learning Support Assistant job summary

This role is supporting children who have a Special Educational Need to access their learning, either in the classroom or with their own tailored activities outside the class. You will have a kind, patient and caring nature but still have high expectations for them to achieve to their full potential. You will have experience of working with children and experience of supporting children with autism or other communication difficulties would be highly desirable.
The morning runs from 8.45am to 12.30pm and the afternoon from 12.30 to 3.30pm. Full time will be from 8.45am to 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Please specify on your application which hours you are applying for.
Watling Lower School is a one-form entry, Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school catering for children from 2 to 9 years in age near the centre of Dunstable. We are happy to offer tours of the schoo and to meet with the headteacher to find out more about the role.
