SEND Learning Support Mentor job summary

Parkside Primary Academy is looking to recruit an outstanding SEND Learning Mentor to join our vibrant learning community. The role of SEND Learning Mentor is required to provide support, nurture and guidance to all age ranges within school, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and and allow all children to achieve their potential.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to enhancing the life chances of children.
- High levels of enthusiasm and initiative.
- Previous experience of working with SEND children and/or an understanding of child development

Previous experience of working with children or young people would be advantageous. You will be a qualified graduate, or alternatively hold ‘A’ level/Level 3 NVQ equivalent or professional qualifications in addition to GCSE English and Maths at grade A* - C or equivalent.
