What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to enhancing the life chances of children.
- High levels of enthusiasm and initiative.
Previous experience of working with children or young people would be advantageous. You will be a qualified graduate, or alternatively hold ‘A’ level or Level 3 NVQ equivalent qualifications in addition to GCSE English and Maths at grade A* - C (grade 9 – 4).

Parkside Primary Academy is looking to recruit an outstanding Learning Mentor to join our vibrant learning community. The role of Learning Mentor is required to provide support, nurture and guidance to all age ranges within school, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and allow all children to achieve their potential.
This role may also include occasional supervision of classes to cover PPA time, the covering of short term teacher absence and the ability to work pro-actively with smaller groups of children in a Learning Mentor.
