SEND / Nurture Teacher job summary

Roundhill Primary School is currently undergoing a period of strong school improvement with nurture provision provided by two skilled Thrive-trained teaching assistants. We are looking to expand this through the appointment of a teacher who will lead and deliver SEND and nurture provision, supported by specialist staff within the Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and inclusive team, working across the whole school with children in small groups and individually.

The successful candidate will:

- - be passionate about supporting children with additional needs in their learning and wellbeing;

- - have experience of working within a special school environment or working with SEND children within a mainstream environment;

- - have experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum for SEND pupils and/or impactful nurture provision;

- - be a positive, professional and collaborative member of our superb staff team.

- - be a resilient, emotionally available adult for the most vulnerable pupils at the school.

- - enjoy working within a team and have an excellent sense of humour

Roundhill Primary School is set on the south west side of the city of Bath serving the local wards of Southdown, Whiteway and Twerton. Roundhill Primary was formed in 2015, as a result of amalgamation of Southdown Infants and Southdown Juniors. Since then we have had major refurbishment of the buildings and the school provides a spacious, well-resourced learning environment. The school is set in extensive, attractive grounds, which make a significant contribution to our curriculum and after school provision. We have excellent nursery provision for two year olds and our three year old provision is within our integrated Foundation Stage Unit.

In December 2018, we joined The Partnership Trust, which is a multi-academy trust.
