SEND Specialist Teacher job summary
Pendle Education Trust is a family of schools with the single aim of raising educational aspiration and attainment in East Lancashire.
There are currently five schools within the Trust, Colne Primet Academy, West Craven High School, Pendle Primary Academy, Casterton Primary Academy and Castercliff Primary Academy. We are now looking for a SEND Specialist Teacher to join our team atCastercliff Primary Academy.
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of duties with the ultimate focus being to enhance the teaching of and attainment levels for SEND pupils. You must be able to carry out individual assessments for pupils who may have individual needs and provide reports to support annual reviews and applications for statutory assessments.
Due to the nature of the role you must be able to display outstanding communication skills as you will be working with a number of stakeholders including pupils, parents, teaching colleagues and external agencies and partners. You will be flexible and resilient and have the confidence to try new resources and approaches to teaching and learning in order to help pupils to achieve the very best they can.
Salary – Upper pay scale
