Shefford Lower School has an excellent reputation as a friendly, thriving and values-based school. With over 500 children, we are a very well resourced, and vibrant setting. We pride ourselves in our warm ‘family’ atmosphere, so that both children and staff develop and achieve their potential.

Members of our school must be caring, cheerful, proactive and able to support children with a range of learning and pastoral needs. In return, you will be part of a friendly and highly skilled team who pull together.

The SEND Specialist Teacher will support the school’s commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The post holder will contribute to high-quality education, ensuring pupils with SEND access ambitious, stimulating and inclusive curriculums. We want to ensure all children make progress from their starting points and thrive in school. The role focuses on early identification, adaptive teaching, effective use of the graduated approach, and strong collaboration with staff, families, and external professionals.

Visits to the school are encouraged. Please contact Lucy Leeson on 01462 629123 or email schooloffice@shefford.cbeds.co.uk to arrange.
