What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a positive and inspiring individual to work as a SEND Support Assistant. Our SEND Support Assistants are mainly classroom based supporting students in all curriculum areas and across all year groups - levels of need will vary between year groups. Applicants will need a good basic education, good communication skills and an interest in working with young people.

What the school offers its staff

Old Buckenham High School is a small/medium-sized high school set in the heart of the beautiful Norfolk countryside. We currently have around 500 students aged between 11 and 16 years with an average of 24 students in each classroom and we are committed to ensuring that we provide all our students with an inspiring and challenging learning experience based around excellent teaching, traditional student standards and values as well as high quality pastoral care, guidance and support. Our school is firmly built upon a strong and positive community ethos of mutual respect and high standards for all. Our strong leadership team and continuous improvement approach was recognised by Ofsted in our last inspection where we were rated as ‘Good’ in all aspects.
