SEND Teacher/Cover and Interventions job summary
Due to maternity leave, we have a unique opportunity to lead our small KS2 provision for pupils with SEND. The pupils in the provision have a range of needs and are working behind age related expectations with the primary need being SLCN and specific learning difficulties. The role entails delivering core subject lessons (Reading, writing and maths) to a group of 8 pupils in the mornings alongside an experienced LSA. Due to the ability of the children, the position would ideally suit an experienced KS1 teacher who is passionate about teaching pupils with SEND.
During the afternoons, the successful applicant will deliver interventions and cover classes across the school as needed. Planning time is included within the hours of contract and you will be supported by the Inclusion Lead. The successful applicant will need to have experience or a good knowledge and understanding of the KS1 curriculum. This role is not suitable for an ECT.
