  • To be a passionate teacher committed to providing a fully inclusive learning environment, where all children can floursih and succeed, whatever their needs.
  • To be a good communicator, exemplified by strong relationships with the children you work with.
  • To have good curriculum knowledge relevant to this role
  • To have experience and success of teaching and supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs and tracking their progress through school based assessment systems.
  • To have a good knowledge of current educational developments relevant to the key stage(s) and the curriculum
  • To have experience of training colleagues and evidence that this has led to improved practice

Berwick St Mary's CE First School is part of the Tweed Learning Federation, offering provision for 2-9 year olds.

From September 2025 the school will become a primary school and open a special school base 'The Tweed', which will support childfren with complex SEMH, ASD, ADHD and SLCN needs.
