We have an exciting opportunity for a SEND teacher to join our Designated Special Provision (DSP) for Children with an ASD diagnosis.

Our DSP teacher will deliver specialist teaching to six children with a diagnosis of ASD with the support of two learning support assistants. The DSP teacher will teach these children within their specialist provision and support them within mainstream classes.

The DSP teacher will also support all children within the school with a diagnosis of ASD that have placement in our mainstream provision. They will do this by liaising with class teachers, ensuring they can access the learning taking place, and providing interventions to support emotional and social skills. We are looking for someone who can support the development of independence, self-esteem and confidence for each pupil.

  • Can work collaboratively and be part of our supportive and successful team.
  • Is a qualified teacher with SEND experience and experience of working with children with ASD
  • Is dedicated and committed to ensuring the best life chances for children
  • Is someone who is keen to develop their knowledge and skills of best practice.

This vacancy is not suitable for ECT's.
