SEND Teacher job summary

Do you have the drive to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with special educational needs, as well as the ambition to support the school develop and grow?

This is an incredible opportunity for a SEND Teacher to make a difference and join a great team of people within a supportive, values-led organisation. Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) is one of the largest not-for-profit MAT's in England with almost 5,000 staff and 30,000 students. We have been around since 2009 making us one of the longest established trusts. Our mission is to be the Trust that makes the biggest difference both inside and outside the classroom.

As part of the Local Authority’s requirement for SEND spaces, we recently carried out works to provide certain refurbished and remodelled areas at the Academy which enables the school to accommodate a SEND provision of 12 new places across Years 7 to 11.

We are looking for an experienced teacher who is ready for the next step in their career. As well as a proven ability as an excellent teacher with a lively and effective classroom teaching style, which engages and motivates young people, you will have experience of quality assurance and line management.

Our AP schools work in collaboration with schools in their local areas and are an integral part of the local authority inclusion offer, supporting students with additional needs and SEND.

OAT is a great organisation to work for. We offer:

  • commitment to your continued professional development
