SEND Teaching Assistant 1:1 job summary
Little Gonerby C of E Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant, primarily to work with a child on a 1:1 basis. If you are someone who believes that all pupils, regardless of their personal circumstances, can excel and you have the ability to engage, enthuse and inspire our young people, then this job is for you.
The post is part time, band G3.6-G3:9 - £13,561 to £14,250 gross per annum, 22.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days. The hours of work are 08.45am-1.15pm Monday to Friday. The post is for the duration of the child’s time at Little Gonerby CE Primary Academy.
If you can provide the love, care and support for a child who needs assistance with their communication and interaction needs, and support with their personal, social and emotional development (PSED), then you could be just the person for us.
The successful applicant will have:
An understanding of EHCPs.
The knowledge of how to support pupils with additional needs.
Excellent communication skills.
Be able to work as part of team as well as using your initiative.
Be willing to adapt and be flexible to changing circumstances.
Patience, resilience, calmness and a positive mindset.
