SEND Teaching Assistant - 30 Hours job summary

This vacancy is for 30 hours per week - 8:30am-:3:30pm Monday - Friday.

Then we have a role available for supporting a child on a 1-1 basis with social, emotional and mental health difficulties to succeed in education. You will require patience, flexibility and be committed to helping children develop as independent and confident individuals. It would be desirable, but not essential, that you have experience in this type of role.

The Inclusive Multi Academy Trust which was established in 2016 with a vision to Inspire and nurture our children and their community to be the very best that they can be. The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work closely with the class teacher, the SENCo, the SEN team and external advisors. You should be keen to learn, be able to work on your own initiative, and carry out advice consistently.

The successful candidates will have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (C or above) and a high standard of written and spoken English.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a Criminal Record Declaration Form prior to interview.

Our interviews will always include relevant questions relating to child protection and/or safeguarding, and will usually involve a child centred task.
