Mayflower Community Academy have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, dedicated and creative Teaching Assistant, to join our outstanding team and make a difference in children’s lives. The successful Teaching Assistant will be enthusiastic, a good team player and committed to supporting the learning of pupils.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be committed to supporting pupil’s with SEND across the school at the direction of the SENDCO to engage in their learning and under the direction of appropriate professionals and after adequate training, assist in meeting particular pupils’ needs.

Mayflower Community Academy is an Outstanding School (Ofsted, January 2024), we are a two form entry school located in the heart of the community who are committed to creating the most inspirational opportunities for our pupils and their families.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:

Have experience of working within a primary school or early years setting

Can build relationships with and nurture pupils to enable positive educational outcomes

Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies

GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above

Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working

NVQ2/3 or equivalent or working towards the qualification is desirable
