What skills and experience we're looking for

Ash Lea School governors are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to delivering a high standard of classroom support as part of a caring and child focused class team.

The successful candidate will have achieved or be working towards an NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with an educational focus. Knowledge of how children learn, early learning strategies, child protection, child development and the SEN code of practice is desirable. Experience of working within a special educational setting as well as training in First Aid, CRB and Moving and Handling would be advantageous. The ability to work under pressure, while meeting the ever-changing needs of the school environment, is essential. You will need to be proactive and work on your own initiative whilst being part of a wider team.
