Grade/Salary:Band 3, SCP 6-9. £23,893 - £25,119 per annum (Pay Award Pending)
Actual salary:£9,746.89 - £10,247.02 per annum (Pro rata)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dedicated teaching assistant to join our Christ the King CVA team. You will be part of a highly motivated team where high-quality CPD is at the heart of our teaching and learning offer. There will be opportunities for developing our alternative curriculum offer, as well as contributing to whole school development. You will be responsible for:
- Working 1:1 to support children who may need access to an alternative curriculum to support their behaviour and learning
- Working with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
- Giving support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement

The successful candidate will be able to build effective working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. Experience of adapting their approach to meet the needs of all pupils, including having an understanding of a range of complex needs and needs associated with attachment and trauma, would be desirable.The St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
