SEND Teaching Assistant - Fixed Term 1 Year Contract job summary
Required for September 2026 Pay scale: Scale Point 4-5
Salary: £16,493 - £16,755 per annum
28 hours per week 8.55am - 3.20pm (including 2 after school meetings per week which finish at 4.30pm or 4.45pm on Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
Term time only plus 5 days (39 weeks per year)
Beechwood is a 4 form entry primary school in the Leagrave area of Luton.
We are seeking capable, reliable and proactive Teaching Assistants with sound literacy and numeracy skills to join our dedicated team.
In this versatile role, you will:-
- Support the diverse learning needs of both individual pupils and small groups, fostering an inclusive environment across both indoor and outdoor learning settings.
- Provide essential lunchtime supervision and assisting with intimate care when required
- Be working 1:1 with specific pupils and setting up engaging sensory circuits.
As a key contributor to our student’s development, you will design and set up activities linked directly to individual targets, while actively contributing to Individual Educations Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure every child reaches their full potential
