SEND Teaching Assistant job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Inclusion Team at Maiden Erlegh School. This is an exciting opportunity to provide full time support to a student with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated social communication, emotional and mental health needs.
This role will include the following support:
• Accessing their courses, associated catch up lessons and supervised study
• Social and Emotional Support throughout the school day
• Specific interventions that may be required and for which training will be provided
The successful candidate will:
• Have relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with students with special needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder and associated social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
• Show a commitment to supporting this young person both academically and pastorally.
• Have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with external agencies and parents.
