What skills and experience we're looking for
Meon Way Federation is currently seeking to appoint 2 x SEND Teaching Assistants to work across Meon Infant and Moorings Way Infant Schools on a fixed term basis.
You will work closely with teachers, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other professionals to support students with EHCPs and additional educational needs. Your role will involve assisting in the classroom, providing one-on-one support, and promoting a positive and nurturing learning environment.

- Provide 1:1 learning support under the guidance of the SENCo in all curriculum areas
- Knowledge and understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs, and cognitive needs, that affect children and young people’s development
- Familiar with children’s Education, Health and Care Plans and maximise opportunities to develop learning
- Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people including pupils, staff, parents and external professionals
- Educated to a minimum requirement of Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Understanding of the educational system and current developments
