What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are an excellent practitioner. A specialism or additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
- Are confident in the classroom and understand how children with SEND, learn.
- Have high expectations of what can be achieved.
- Seek to build positive relationships with children.
- Are flexible with a good sense of humour and an understanding of the ‘bigger picture’.
- Are able to work to their own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Are confident and excited about using and embracing IT and outdoor learning in their practice.
- Are flexible, hard working and have a passion to make a difference in the lives of our young learners.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to making a difference.

This can be a challenging role supporting pupils with high-level needs; therefore, the right candidate will need to be resilient and strong-minded, yet patient and understanding of the pupils’ needs. They will be fully supported by the school in order to confidently fulfil the role.
