SEND Teaching Assistant job summary
The school is looking to appoint a child centered, creative, inspiring and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team.
The role will include supporting the teaching and learning in Key Stage 2 (Year 4), specifically with children with identified special educational needs and barriers. This input may be on a 1:1 basis or in small groups and, depending on the nature of the work, may be inside or outside the classroom. The work will be under the guidance from the Class Teacher and we also have an Inclusion Support Officer and Inclusion Lead who can support and guide. The successful candidate will work within, and contribute towards, our strong Catholic ethos and strive to enable every child to reach their own unique, God given potential.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

• A passion for children’s learning and development
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a team
• A sense of humour and empathy with children of this age, a caring personality and confidential nature

Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust is a large Catholic Multi Academy Trust situated in the northern half of the Catholic Diocese of Northampton.
