SENDCo and Class Teacher job summary
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic SENDCO/KS1 teacher to join our friendly and hard-working team. Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy Trust. The school's mission is to serve God and one another through Love, Faith and Hope.
We are deeply committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive and faith-centered environment where every child feels valued and supported, can flourish and can realise their full potential. This role will focus on ensuring high expectations and exceptional SEND provision across the school, guiding our pupils in both their academic and personal growth
The successful candidate will also be required to teach. We are looking for a creative and dynamic KS1 class teacher for our mixed Year 1/2 class, who has a passion for children's learning. The successful classroom teacher will have vision, energy and passion to provide an invigorating learning environment for all children. You should pride yourself in delivering exciting learning experiences and have the creativity and determination to help drive the school forward.
The successful candidate will need to:
Be an enthusiastic individual who can lead the SEND provision across the school
Hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordination or be prepared to work towards it
Be enthusiastic and committed to improving the educational outcomes for pupils with SEND
be sympathetic towards the aims and ethos of our Catholic school
work collaboratively alongside the Headteacher
challenge, motivate and inspire children to achieve their best
have an approachable, positive mind-set and be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community
Demonstrates excellent classroom practice with high standards of teaching and learning, with experience of teaching children in KS1
be dedicated to delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
