  • Full time - Teachers at Roding Primary School are expected to carry out their duties in accordance with paragraphs 37. – 40.7 of the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. This post is non-class based but there is an expectation of following a programme of in class support/coaching/teaching as appropriate.

What skills and experience we're looking for

• SENDCo award a pre-requisite
  

  • Facilitate children with SEND, EAL and/or in receipt of the pupil premium, across the school, to access an appropriate curriculum for them and make academic progress, as appropriate to them
  • Work within the SEND team – alongside the Deaf Provision Manager, supported by the SEND Administrator and leading the Teaching Assistant team – to impact all aspects of school improvement.
  • Work closely alongside the Leadership Team and work in conjunction with the Co-Headteachers

  We are seeking practitioners who are:

  • Experienced, Enthusiastic, Driven, Organised, Motivated and Resilient
  • Strongly interested in the teaching of SEND, EAL and those in receipt of Pupil Premium
  • Able to lead and enthuse others
  • Aware of whole school needs and how to address these
  • Aware of The Code of Practice and good practice in the educational provision for children with SEND and EAL

  You must be able to demonstrate evidence of successful leadership, be an excellent classroom practitioner and have extensive experience of teaching children with SEND and EAL within a mainstream school setting.

Commitment to safeguarding

We believe that every member of the Roding community has responsibility for ensuring the safety and well being of every child at all times. The school follows the London Borough of Redbridge guidelines & has its own policy. Staff receive safeguarding training on a regular basis through annual level 1 training sessions and regular updates throughout the year. Members of staff, who include the Head Teacher will receive regular Level 2 training. Regular volunteers and visitors will also recieve safeguarding training. All staff have a duty of care and are expected to be proactive with reporting matters.
