SENDCo and Mental Health Lead (PT 2 days) job summary
The children, staff and governors at Meridian Primary are looking for an ambitious and motivated SENDCo who will share our values and vision; and continue to offer a supportive and effective inclusion provision for the school.
We are looking for someone who:
- has high personal and professional standards
- has knowledge and experience of working successfully with children who have a range of vulnerabilities, special needs, disabilities and trauma
- has knowledge of the current SEND code of Practice, ideally someone who has the National Award for SEN Coordinator
- has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues, pupils and parents to provide the very best for our children’s needs
- is committed to providing quality care and involved in the emotional well-being of pupils and staff
- is able to liaise with other external agencies
- assess pupils and collate valuable information for professional meetings and applications for referrals to other services including EHCPs
- is an excellent and highly literate communicator
- is committed to contributing to the wider aspects of the school
- who may be interested in some additional teaching/ cover responsibilities
