SENDCO and SEN Teacher job summary

SENDCO

Do you have a passion for SEN? Are you an educator who is looking for something a little different and with amazing rewards? Are you familiar with the best ways that needs can be met in a primary school?

Lime Academy Larkswood is looking for someone who is an experienced SENDCO with SEN class teaching/group facilitation commitment.

The school is on a journey to even greater things, but we need someone with a drive and love of supporting Special Educational Needs to take our SEND provision to the next level. We already have a strong inclusive ethos, always putting inclusion at the forefront of our practice. But in order to deepen our provision we need to expand our SEND offer. Our children need a teacher who can provide them with the day-to-day provision which caters for their needs but also grows and develops them, providing them with the opportunities that they need to flourish. Someone who sees no limitations for what our children can achieve.

Your day would consist of facilitating the SENDCO role, developing our staff and monitoring standards of inclusive practice. Lead teaching, modelling and supporting other staff to deliver interventions. Therefore, we need someone who can manage workload efficiently and effectively as well as being an active, approachable team member who models inclusion at every opportunity. If this is you, then please apply!

We can offer you:

·       the collective knowledge and experience of professionals from 8 schools including 4 special schools

·       pathways to other development opportunities

·       a warm and welcoming staff

·       amazing children and families who are ready and waiting for your guidance and support

·       a regular link to our leadership team, ensuring that your input is both valued and feeds directly into our School Development plan.

Lime Academy Larkswood is part of the Lime Trust which is a multi-academy trust of 4 primary and 4 special schools in the East of England and London working across 3 Local Authorities.

Putting Learners First is the Lime Trust vision. This vision is underlined by our seven core values (RESPECT) of Respect, Equity, Self-worth, Partnership, Enjoyment, Communication and Trust

Visits to our schools are warmly welcomed. Please contact Anisa Chohan Patel , HR Administrator Recruitment Lead at Anisa.Chohan-Patel@limetrust.org or call 0208 529 4979 to discuss the role further or to arrange a visit.

Please note that applications may be reviewed as they come in and candidates may be contacted and offered an interview before the closing date.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure. The Lime Trust is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
