SENDCO job summary

This is a tremendous opportunity to work in a high performing school. You will have experience of working directly with children or young people in any setting and be willing to work with others as part of a highly organised strong team, providing excellent communication, superior support to colleagues and learners.

The school have a very strong team of teaching and pastoral staff committed to enabling every student to enjoy learning and achieve their potential, so are looking for an equally strong SENDCO to help build on the provision in this area.

The SENDCO who, with the support of the Senior Leadership Team and the SEND department will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy, SEN information reporting and provision made by the school for pupils with SEN or disabilities. They will also work closely with staff, parents/carers and other agencies. The SENDCO also provides professional guidance to staff in order to help ensure high quality teaching and the effective use of resources to secure an inclusive education. The school will support with any statutory training. The management of the Hearing Support department will also be a key responsibility.
