The children, staff and governors of Birch Hill Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced SENDCo.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to join oursupportive team to work with our children and families.

The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of SEND and provision across the school. They will be responsible for the day-to-day running and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils; including overseeing our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP).They will also lead on providing professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and external agencies to ensure legal and statutory requirements are met for all pupils with SEND needs.

Birch Hill is a popular two form entry primary school with a Nursery. The school is well resourced and has extensive outside space including an ‘Edible Playground’. There are currently 400 children on roll.

Birch Hill Primary was judged Good in our Ofsted report (October 2019).
