SENDCo job summary

Byron Wood Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for a SENDCo to join our motivated, supportive team. We are looking for somebody with commitment, energy and expertise to work closely with staff to ensure that the children achieve their very best. 

We are seeking to appoint a qualified SENDCo - or aspiring SENDCo who is ready to undertake the NPQSENCO qualification - to be deployed to undertake the SENDCo role where individual primary academies lack the capacity for leadership of SEND. This role is full time with a 0.5 FTE teaching commitment.

Demonstrates high standards in themselves, their work, and their expectations of others

Is a qualified and experienced SENDCo – or aspiring SENDCo - who is able to develop high-quality SEND provision

Has the ability to inspire trust, confidence, and respect from pupils, staff, and the community.
