SENDCo job summary

We are a primary school in the Oxfordshire town of Carterton, close to RAF Brize Norton. As a school we are working really hard to build a strong and committed team with the capacity to improve the outcomes for our pupils. We are recruiting a part time SENDCo to work 2 full days or 4 half days each week starting 1 June 2025 or 1 September 2025 latest.We are proud to be an academy as part of Ridgeway Education Trust, which comprises of six primary schools and two secondaries where collaboration and a supportive culture are at the heart of our culture. We are seeking someone who:

• Is a successful teacher, with a strong track record in primary education, good knowledge and experience of SEND in primary schools and commitment to inclusive practice

• Is a professional committed to his/her own development, who has the National Award for SEN coordination qualification (or is prepared to undertake this qualification)

• Is committed to raising standards by providing high quality learning experiences for all children

• Has energy, enthusiasm, creativity and flair

• Is a team player

• Is highly motivated and organised

• Is a professional committed to his/her own development
