Experience

  • Successful teaching experience in two or more schools / across both Key Stages
  • Experience of working at a whole-school level
  • Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning Experience of conducting training/leading INSET

Knowledge and skills

  • Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice Understanding of what makes ‘quality first’ teaching, and of effective intervention strategies
  • Ability to plan and evaluate interventions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships
  • Ability to influence and negotiate
  • Good record-keeping skills

What the school offers its staff

Our school is a small but supportive environment in which to work. In September, we will have 3 mixed aged classes and approximately 75 pupils. The children are delightful and well motivated and they are supported by a dedicated staff team, which is committed to every child fulfilling their potential.

The school is keen to embrace flexible working, so this post is offered with a working pattern of 3 half days or 1 and a half days each week. Working days to be agreed.

The postholder would need to teach half a day each week.
