What skills and experience we're looking for
We require an experienced SENCO, who has the appropriate SENCO qualification or is working towards completion, to join our two-form entry mainstream primary school. The successful applicant will work with the Deputy and other SLT members to ensure the active participation, learning and achievement of all pupils in our school.
You will need to:
• Be an exemplary teacher
• Have a proven record of expertise in Special Education Needs
• Demonstrate success with regard to parental engagement
• Have a passion for children’s learning and development at all levels
• Be able to accept challenges, inspire and motivate others
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively use assessment data
• Have a desire to achieve and raise standards
• Be a committed team member
• Have the ability to engage the whole school community including external agencies
• Have a commitment to professional development
School visits essential.
