SENDCO job summary
We are looking to appoint an outstanding, highly committed Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-Ordinator to transform the SEND provision and to ensure that all students within Holsworthy Community College reach their potential despite any learning barriers.
The person appointed as SENDCO at Holsworthy Community College in addition to carrying out the professional duties of a teacher including those duties particularly assigned to the post holder by the Principal shall have responsibilities within Strategic Direction, Leadership and Development, Supporting Teaching and Learning and Managing and Leading Other Adults.

We are a small, rural secondary school in North Devon, in the market town of Holsworthy. We have many strengths: our family feel, excellent pastoral support, strong and passionate teachers as well as great students.
We are proud to be part of the Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust. This is allowing us to build strong links with Okehampton College and Tavistock College and our fourteen primary schools, as well as allowing us to work more closely with other schools and organisations across Devon and beyond. We believe achievement is not just about qualifications. Personal development is key to what we do. We are developing opportunities for students to play an active part in the school community in the form of student voice groups and working more closely with the community.
