Netherthorpe Primary is a vibrant and inclusive one-form-entry school close to the heart of the city. We are looking for someone who cares for children and sees their education as something that includes, but is not limited to, academic achievement.
One of our strengths at Netherthorpe is the diversity of the community we serve. Our children love coming to school and share a passion for learning. The majority speak an additional language – at any one time there are approximately 20 different languages spoken across school. This creates rich and exciting learning opportunities for the whole school community.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, and well organised person who can work alone and as part of a team. This is a new position that will be mainly based on the reception in our Sports Hall, though will include cover of main reception and other duties as laid out. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as interaction with parents, visitors, students and staff will be a daily part of the role. The successful candidate will also be required to support the Admin team and undertake general office tasks including word processing, data entry, filing, photocopying, school meals and attendance. We require a person with good organisational skills who can work on their own initiative whilst maintaining a team perspective, maintain confidentiality and have the ability to work flexibly under pressure to meet the workload demand.
