SENDCO (Primary) job summary
We are looking to appoint a highly effective and motivated SENDCO.
As a Trust, we are passionate about inclusion, and we are looking for someone who shares the same drive and commitment. As SENDCO, you will work in partnership with the Principal to support and effectively contribute to the SEND provision across the academy.
You will work with all stakeholders to ensure that children with additional needs, vulnerabilities, or barriers to learning receive the support they need to learn, progress successfully and maximise their potential. You will be well organised and willing to go the ‘extra mile’. You will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a proven track record of successful teaching and an understanding of the SEND Code of Practice. The ideal candidate will possess the drive and passion to develop themselves professionally within the SEND arena and undertake CPD opportunities to cultivate their SEND knowledge and practice.
You should be devoted to ensuring that our SEND children are fully supported to reach their potential. We seek a candidate who is an excellent communicator with all stakeholders and external agencies.
You will have a part-time teaching commitment within the school. This will be to support the senior leadership team. The teaching commitment will be tailored depending upon whether you are full-time or part-time.

At Richard Wakefield C.E. Primary Academy, everyone works with pride to achieve their personal best. There are 269 pupils aged from 3 to 11 years.
