We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and exceptional SENDCO who has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a high school and is dedicated and keen to join our hard working, approachable and supportive SEND and Inclusion team. The successful candidate will have the skills and ability to improve the quality of SEND provision across the school, working with all stakeholders to secure positive outcomes. You will be passionate about ensuring students with additional needs, vulnerabilities or barriers to learning, receive the support they need to learn, progress successfully and maximise their potential. You will contribute to the strategic development of SEND policy and provision, coordinate specific provision for pupils with SEND, and develop whole school inclusive quality first teaching. You will work closely with parents, staff and other agencies. You will already have or be inspired to complete the SENDCO qualification. Purpose of the post: To work alongside the SENCO for KS3 and specifically; • To secure high quality outcomes and progress for students with SEND, with specific responsibility for KS4, KS5 and FEFA students. • To implement strategies for students with SEND to overcome barriers to learning and achievement, with specific responsibility for KS4, KS5 and FEFA students. • To ensure that all teaching in the Academy reflects and meets the needs of SEND students, with specific responsibility for KS4, KS5 and FEFA students.

Rainhill High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form centre located in Rainhill, Merseyside, England. The school has a very strong reputation locally and is significantly oversubscribed.

The school converted to an academy under Rainhill Learning Village in March 2017. More recently, the school has become part of the Stephenson Trust.

The school is the official Liverpool F.C. Academy Education Centre in Merseyside for under-18 players to be educated. Notable former pupils from the academy include Raheem Sterling and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The school has recently partnered with FA FE to strengthen post-16 education for the players. FE FA is owned and run by Robbie Fowler, former Liverpool and England footballer.
In addition to Liverpool FC, it has formal partnerships with Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Liverpool John Moores University and University of Leeds.
