SENDCo job summary
We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Coordinator with responsibility for SEN management and development throughout the school. SEN qualification preferred. You will work closely with the leadership team and contribute to the strategic development of the school, for the benefit of the pupils with additional needs. You will be skilled and sensitive, confident to work with pupils, parents and professional partners.
The successful candidate will be a talented and reflective teacher, able to engage pupils and understand what they need in order to succeed in their learning. You will keep updated on the latest research and legislation, to ensure our practice and strategies are compliant and have the greatest impact on pupils. You will have the skills and enthusiasm to share your ideas with colleagues and support parents as partners.
This is a non-class-based role for 2 - 3 days per week (0.4 - 0.6 FTE). There is flexibility on which days this is.
