What skills and experience we're looking for

St Mary's C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, highly self-motivated and positive minded SENDCo, to join our team due to the successful promotion of the current SENDCo.

The SEND leader, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, will play a key role in determining the strategic development of the SEND policy and provision in the school, to raise achievement of children with SEND, taking day to day responsibility for the operation of the SEND and any related policies. The post holder will assist the Senior Leadership Team in delivering the vision and direction of the school, setting high expectations and modelling professional conduct. You will undertake a lead role across the school in maintaining high standards of pupil’s behaviour and discipline within the framework of the school policy and supporting other staff as necessary. The post holder will form part of the DSL/Pastoral team.There will be some teaching assigned to this post.
