SENDCo job summary
Are you an experienced SENDCo looking for a new challenge?
Are you interested in supporting the growth of an already aspirational and high-performing school?
Due to the promotion of our current SENDCo to her first headship, we are looking for an experienced SENDCo to join our team for 3 days per week. The 3 days are non-classed-base but we are open to negotiations, so if you'd like a fourth or fifth day (of teaching) or like the idea of spreading your time over the working week, this could be the perfect position for you.
Located to the west of Salisbury, the heart of a vibrant new community, St. Peter’s is set in extensive grounds overlooking the Wiltshire countryside. The building has state of the art facilities including a multi-use hall, Forest School, Multi-Use-Games-Area (MUGA), food-technology room and a purpose-built nursery setting.
St Peter’s is a welcoming and stimulating environment which enables all children to thrive. We have developed an active, exciting and fast-paced curriculum which stimulates, engages and stretches all children whilst engendering them with a lifelong love of learning. Through personalised learning and sky-high expectations, all children are able to flourish and experience success. We are a strong, caring and supportive school community where children are encouraged to be reflective and proactive learners.
Our school will grow from 315 to 420 pupils over the coming months, catering for 60 pupils per year group. Our SEN register is in line with national averages and provision and support for SEN learners is strong. One of our proudest achievements is the way that classroom teachers support children such a wide range of additional need, and we are looking for someone to join our team to maintain these high standards and exceptional working relationships with teachers and TAs alike.
Please have a look at the attached job description and video prospectus on this page.
If you are keen to find out more about the role, please get in touch with Jo Amy, our Finance and HR administrator who will be able to arrange tours of the school (led by senior staff). Her email is jsmy@stpeters.dsat.org.uk or call the school on 01722 448445.
