SENDCo job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, strategic lead for SEND who is passionate about making learning effective. The successful candidate will work three days per week (specific days can be discussed) and provide expertise and
support to children, families and staff through the delivery of our additional needs and inclusion strategy. The role will include supporting EHCP funding applications, overseeing Learning Support Assistants, liaising with
Class Teachers and providing staff training.
We are looking for a suitable candidate who has:
Qualified teacher status
National Award for SENCos or willing to complete within 3 years of appointment
Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
Data analysis skills and the ability to use data to inform provision planning
Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
