What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

  • strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
  • a sound knowledge and understanding of special educational needs policy, practice and provision
  • the ability to build strong professional relationships
  • the ability to offer advice, support and motivation to children, staff and parents
  • the ability to effectively lead and manage the schools' provision for pupils with SEND
  • evidence of successful multi agency working
  • their ability to deliver the best possible outcomes for all learners
  • high aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development

This position is ideally required from the start of the summer term 2023; however, we would be prepared to wait longer for the ideal candidate. This position is based at Hemyock Primary School (0.4) and Sampford Peverell Primary (0.2). Consideration would be given to splitting this position in to two posts for the right candidates.
