Academy Operations Lead Administrator job summary
Salary: Grade 6, Point 16; Actual Salary £27,200
Contract: Full Time, 52 weeks per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

The successful applicant will be an individual who doesn’t need day to day direction but can work autonomously supporting the very needs of the Academy. The role includes line management responsibility for Business Support Administration Team. You will be the first point of contact to deal with and to respond effectively to complex and sensitive queries from internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for Community Communications, Social Media, financial administration, health and safety administration, student administration and all other business support administration, supported by excellent IT skills including MS Office and SIMs. The Academy is fast-paced with competing deadlines and shifting priorities. This would suit someone who is adaptable, flexible with an absolute can-do approach to the workload. It would play to your strengths of efficiency, exemplary interpersonal skills, with a customer-focussed approach and your strong team working skills. Due to the busy nature of this role, it is important that the individual is able to remain calm in the most challenging situations, with a positive demeanour.
The role reports to the Senior Vice Principal but will take direction from the Principal, Teaching and Support Staff to ensure that the needs of the Academy are met. It is vital for the successful applicant is a business professional who has a strong team ethic, can-do approach, going out of their way to support others to achieve their goals. To support this, it is critical that the successful applicant is able to build rapport quickly and develop and maintain effective and harmonious relationships. There is occasional evening work to support parents' evenings etc.
About the department
Business Support is the glue for the Academy, the department is here to support the needs of the students and the Academy, they are the first and foremost in all that the department does. The Business Support team includes Reception, Administration Support to the academic community.
