Senior Advanced Teaching Assistant job summary
We seek to appoint a Senior Advanced Teaching Assistant for 27.5 hours per week, working term time only to join our experienced and supportive team at Manor Church of England Academy.
Jordan Cairns, as Principal of Manor CE Academy, is delighted to introduce our school to you. We are blessed to have state of the art facilities and supportive families, however our greatest assets are the over 1,100 young people enrolled with us and the 140 highly gifted teaching and support staff that work in our academy. Our aim is that all students and staff 'serve others, grow together and live life to the full'. Manor has a proud history, having served the young people of York for over 210 years. We are a Church of England academy and our Christian values guide, influence and underpin all that we do. We are a member of the Hope Sentamu Learning Trust, a growing family of schools working together to transform education across York, Hull and North Yorkshire.
This role will be delivering learning activities for a significant number of individual pupils or groups . Activities may involve assisting in the planning, preparing and delivering of learning activities as well as monitoring pupils, assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development, under the direction of class/subject teacher.
This role may also be responsible for working within a specific work area, e.g. Pastoral, Behaviour or SEN.
