Senior Advanced Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a Senior Advanced Teaching Assistant for 30 Hours per week, Term Time Only (including training days) on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2024.

This role will be delivering learning activities for a significant number of individual pupils or groups.. Activities may involve assisting in the planning, preparing and delivering of learning activities as well as monitoring pupils, assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development, under the direction of class/subject teacher.

As well as supporting children in the classroom there will be some variation to the general job description which can be discussed in more detail at interview but is likely to include tasks such as;

  • Intimate care
  • A level of management on medical issues
  • To follow a programme directed by medical professionals
  • Being the key worker for a female student

This role may also be responsible for working within a specific work area, e.g. Pastoral, Behaviour or SEN.
