Senior Assistant Principal (Faculty Director/Teaching and Learning) job summary

Lead and inspire at Harris City Academy Crystal Palace.

We are seeking an outstanding, experienced qualified teacher to join the SLT at our high-performing academy as Senior Assistant Principal.

Your opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding leader to take on further leadership responsibility. You will line manage both subject and pastoral areas within one of our four Faculties in addition to overseeing Teaching and Learning.

You will have a wealth of opportunities to develop as a leader with the Harris Federation. We can offer you a range of bespoke courses and qualifications through our Teaching School, including our Aspiring Leaders NPQH for aspiring principals.

What we are looking for

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning.

Holding QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree and, ideally, a postgraduate qualification (such as MA, NPQSL or NQPH), you should have clear knowledge and understanding of current educational issues. You should have a minimum of four years' teaching experience, including substantial and recent experience at KS4 and KS5, and at least two at subject leadership level, where you should have proven success in raising achievement across at least two key stages. We are also looking for some experience of leading on cross-subject initiatives that have contributed to raising achievement.
