What skills and experience we're looking for
The role:
The successful applicant will have strategic overview of academic outcomes, including key groups which makes this role fundamental to the progress of our amazing pupils. You will be well supported by a significant team of faculty-based progress analysts, and you will work closely with another Senior Assistant Principal responsible for Teaching and Learning. You will report directly to the Vice Principal responsible for the Quality of Education. Additionally, you will be expected to represent the academy at various assurance boards which are led by the Education Directorate – as a result you will need to be an engaging, confident presenter who thrives under pressure.
You will be an exceptional middle/senior leader with a demonstrable commitment to helping all pupils achieve their best, despite their background. With very high expectations you will motivate staff and pupils through high quality leadership and management. You will be an innovative manager, able to analyse and interpret Academy data to support clear, strategic decisions. You will have the ability to break down complex data and present it to achieve understanding regardless of the audience.
You will be responsible for creating the culture of “living data” across the academy, ensuring that a system of key performance indicators are established and analysed in real time. Your passion for data will be evident and your ability to engage others to share your passion will be fundamental.
You will be experienced in the methodology of PiXL and able to lead a team who would support you in the delivery of academy objectives.
