As a school, we have high expectations and aspirations for all our pupils to ensure an effective learning experience and the highest possible outcomes that will prepare and enhance our pupils for their next journey and beyond. Our Christian values, ‘Trust’, ‘Love’ and ‘Compassion’ and ‘Respect’ underpin all that we do in our school.

Our newly established vision, ‘Do everything in love,’ also recognises the importance of celebrating everyone who learns and works here and the need to work collaboratively and inclusively in the diverse cultural world that we live in.

The headteacher and governors of this happy, caring school are seeking to appoint an exceptional committed, reliable, trustworthy and motivated senior caretaker, who will take pride in their work and take care of our lovely school. Key responsibilities of the post holder will be unlocking and locking up of the building and site, some general cleaning and tidying of equipment, health and safety related works, DIY and property maintenance. The post holder will be expected to assist with activities and initiatives across the school to ensure the effective management and upkeep of the school premises and grounds.

You will need:

*To be professional, hard working, enthusiastic, approachable and who works well as part of a team and who contributes to the effective running of the school.

*To carry out basic building maintenance work and be an effective member of the school team who takes pride in their work.

*To be committed to the safeguarding of all our school community.

*Sound knowledge to ensure that the school complies with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

*To present a positive personal image, contributing to a welcoming school environment which supports equal opportunities.

* Caretaking/site-keeping experience in a school or similar environment.

*Good DIY/handyperson experience to be able to carry out a range of tasks in and outside the building.
